Many physicians perform minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including Interventional Radiologists (IRs) and non-Interventional Radiology physicians. IRs are uniquely trained in imaging and image-guided procedures, and perform many of these types of procedures on a daily basis--it's all we do and only do. A typical IR spends one year of medical or surgical internship, four years of residency training exclusively on imaging and image-guided procedures, and a one or two year subspecialty fellowship dedicated to image-guided procedures and related clinical care.

Amongst IRs, our group at SDI is one of the most highly trained and experienced in the country. Our Interventional Radiology physicians have been trained at institutions including Johns Hopkins, Harvard/Massachussetts General Hospital, University of Florida, Stanford University, and Boston Univeristy.
